Seyaj organization for childhood protection appeals the Yemeni government and humanitarian relief organizations to provide urgent assistance to hundreds of affected children and families from tribal war in Washhah directorate in Haja governorate north-western Yemen.
According to the Monitoring Unit's field information, the tribal war that renewed between four Yemeni tribes months ago resulted in deprivation of more than 1000 children from their right in education.
Also, the war displaced fifty people from their own villages by putting them in sieges which made the food and medicine hard to reach to them forcing dozens of families to leave their villages and houses.
Seyaj calls the wise people in (Masoud, Al-Obaidy, Al- Moqdhy and Dho-Bahma) tribes to arbitrate the mind, to spread the peace and to avoid themselves& their children the scourges of war and armed conflicts.
Moreover, Seyaj calls upon all tribes to non-recruit or utilize children who are less than 18 years old in armed conflict who represent the majority of recruits in the tribal armed conflicts.
Seyaj invites the tribes to return to the customs and ancestors of the tribes in avoiding the killing of women and children and to prevail to the values of magnanimity, generosity and providing help to people which is characterized by the Yemeni tribe.
