- Mobile teams (MTs) are intervention workforces formed during emergencies to help in providing urgent services in the field of health, nutrition, water and health education to remote regions where no fixed health institutions exist or where volunteers work but still need further support by experienced MTs, especially with regard to nutrition to acquire the necessary field skills (usually third level).
- Conflict-affected areas where services have been obstructed at any level as well as displacement areas.
- MTs are deployed alongside partners from other related parties- especially volunteers, where available, in order to facilitate the delivery of nutrition services. The mobile clinic moves to a village situated in the middle of other villages and educates influential community figures on the importance of volunteering, the need to assist volunteers and shows volunteers how they can receive cases in the mobile clinic, go about diagnosis, screening, admission, treatment referral, fill in the weekly report, monitor work by CVs, fill the gaps and overcome shortcomings.
- MTs to be located inside the service provision site (camps, schools, houses) which are easily accessible by beneficiaries and where staff are available most of the time (90% of the total working hours).
