• In November, WFP is targeting 3,872,600 beneficiaries: 44,600 under Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation (PRRO) 200305 and 3,828,000 under PRRO 200636.

Situation Update

• Yemen is the poorest country in the Arab region and is the 8th most food-insecure country in the world.
  According to the Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan, 14.7 million people, more than half of the Yemeni population, require humanitarian assistance in 2014. These needs remain largely unchanged from 2013.

• WFP’s 2014 Comprehensive Food Security Survey highlighted that 41 percent of the population (10.6 million people) are food insecure, including 19.3 percent who are severely food insecure.
