OVERVIEW
The United Nation's multisectoral Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) in consortium with various humanitarian organizations continues to address urgent humanitarian needs arising from conflict and climate-induced disasters around the country. As of total, 75,698 individuals have been displaced due to armed conflicts and severe weather events. A significant 71% (53,725 individuals) were severely affected/displaced by climate-related crises while 29% (21,973 individuals) were driven from their homes by the conflict.
In close collaboration with partners on the ground, the RRM has delivered lifesaving relief to 96% of registered individuals across 18 affected governorates. 22% of these assisted are female-headed households, 8% are persons with disabilities (PWDs) while 11% are elderly individuals.
As a second line response following the RRM, 6,830 households (42,943 individuals) have received multi-purpose cash assistance (MPCA) from IOM/CCY, and 5,319 households (35,973 individuals) have benefited from one-off general food assistance provided by the WFP.
The data gathered by the RRM has been shared with humanitarian organizations who have signed data-sharing agreements, including Cash Consortium of Yemen (CCY) and IRC/Emergency Preparedness and Response Mechanism (EPRM). This information is also provided to various humanitarian clusters and RCTs to facilitate the second line responses.
