RDP RESPONSE
NUTRITION
RDP, in collaboration with WFP, continues to treat moderately acutely malnourished children and PLW by supporting seventeen health facilities with TSFP services. During the reporting period, a total of 1,443 children under five disaggregated as (Boys 648, Girls 795) and 1,335 PLW received therapeutic supplements (Plumpy Sup & WSB+) to help reduce child mortality in Sama & As Silw districts of Taizz governor-ate. In addiiton, RDP raised awareness among community members on health and nutrition key messages, reaching more than 1,061 pregnant and lactating women.
WATER, SANITATION & HYGIENE
RDP, in partnership with Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), has trained 20 community volunteers (15 men – 5 women) on community mobilization, hygiene-related-messages, and cholera outbreak in order to spread awareness and improve hygiene practices among the IDPs and most vulnerable people within the project of lifesaving and sustained WASH services in IDPs collective sites and host communities in Aslam district of Hajjah governorate.
In addition, sixteen individuals (12 men – 4 women) of the project staff were given a workshop training on the accountability to affected population (AAP) and disability inclusion to ensure project team has gained maximum knowledge of how to practice AAP as well as disability inclusion in WaSH acitvities, Aslam, Hajjah.
