Background
In May 2010, based on the Logistics Rapid Assessment (LRA) recommendation and the request of the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) the Logistics Cluster was activated in Yemen. A Logistics Coordination cell was established in Sana'a and provided the services outlined below. During early 2015, the country experienced increased political insecurity and in March, the conflict escalated significantly causing widespread infrastructure damage, civilian casualties and dramatically worsened the existing fuel crisis. The following report provides an overview of Logistics Cluster activities in Yemen prior to the conflict escalation.
