Conflict in Al Dhale’e Governorate between Government forces and separatist militants continued to displace civilians, and damage civilian infrastructure. In Amran, the situation has stabilized slightly although tensions are still high. Several governorates have been infested by locusts, with losses of crops estimated at US $46 million. This will increase the vulnerability of thousands of Yemenis. Yemeni migrant workers continue to return from Saudi Arabia.
Impact of armed clashes on humanitarian assistances - The situation in Al Dhale’e and Amran governorates
Conflict between Government forces and separatist militants in Al Dhale’e Governorate, southern Yemen, has displaced at least 8,000 people. Health, education and water facilities have been damaged and services interrupted. Thousands of people are unable to access basic services, food and protection. In Amran, the situation is stable but unpredictable. At least 60,000 people are displaced.
