HIGHLIGHTS

• Lightning and flash floods have killed at least 39 people in Yemen since heavy rains began falling in the Arabian Peninsula.

• Strong winds and heavy rains in Haradh District of Hajjah Governorate have damaged over 50 percent of shelters and basic facilities in the three IDP camps at Al Mazraq; shelter, food, and WASH are the critical needs.

• Landslides caused various levels of damage to 30 - 40 houses in Bani Awam district of Hajjah Governorate and displaced the families from their homes.

• Heavy rainfall and flooding has seriously damaged infrastructure in Arqa area between Shabwah and Abyan governorates, and affected 450 households of which 90 households are in need of immediate relief assistance.
