Overview
Due to the intensification of fighting and its expansion to new locations in Al Garrahi district, Al Hudaydah, the National Authority for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Recovery (NAMCHA) reported the displacement of 663 families within the same district
Reponse
Al Hudaydah Hub: UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency through its implementing partner Jeel Al Bena has distributed Non-Food Items kits to 662 families in Al Hudaydah city and DRC assisted other 96 families with multi-purpose cash assistance. UNHCR plans to assist 253 families in Al Hudaydah city with cash for rental subsidies.
DRC is currently verifying the list of 341 IDP families in Jabal Ra’s district, AlHudaydah in order to start the distribution of NFIs and EESKs.
Aden Hub: UNHCR through Nahdah Makers Organization (NMO) has distributed NFIs kits to 695 families in Tuban district, Lahj Ibb Hub: ACTED conducted needs assessment for two newly displaced families in Mudhaykhirah district, Ibb and plans to provide them with NFIs kits
Challenges
UNHCR implementing partner NMO has been delayed during the last three weeks from the distribution of NFIs in Mawza and Al-Waziziyah districts, Taizz due to the challenges related to obtaining the necessary security clearances
