  • Impacts on Agriculture: Staple crops, including sorghum, maize, and millet, faced decreased yields due to flooding and below-average rainfall during the planting season.
  • Desert Locust Risks: There is a potential threat of breeding and localized outbreaks in favorable conditions, particularly in the interior areas, such as Marib and Safer.
  • Weather Forecast: A shift to the dry season is anticipated in November 2024, with minimal rainfall expected in western areas and relatively cooler temperatures.
