The escalating humanitarian crisis has affected 19 out of 22 governorates, displacing an estimated 220,000 people to date.
Within its ongoing programmes during 19 March – 14 April, WFP provided assistance to almost 1 million beneficiaries, including IDPs, refugees, children supported through education and nutrition activities, and poorest households through safety nets.
WFP launched an emergency food distribution in Aden. During 15-19 April, 5,692 displaced people (1,277 families) received a one month ration.
WFP maintains operational capacity on the ground with 185 national staff across the country, while international staff are operating remotely from Amman.
