This factsheet provides an overview of Kharaz Refugee Camp in Lahj, Yemen—the country’s only refugee camp, hosting nearly 9,490 refugees and asylum seekers, mostly from Somalia and Ethiopia. In 2025, 2,241 households reside in the camp, including 1,340 individuals with specific needs. UNHCR supports education for over 3,000 students, healthcare, water, sanitation, shelter, and cash assistance. In 2024, 741 solar systems were installed to improve sustainability.
