HUMAN ACCESS awarded economic empowerment grants and organized training programs within the protection and livelihood support project "Safe Space for Women and Girls", funded by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), to empower women and enhance their presence in all fields in Yemen.
In Taiz Governorate, the safe space in Al-Muzaffar District hosted a training program targeting 10 women from the protection committees and 6 men from the peer network.
The training covered the concept of protection and gender-based violence in order to enhance community participation in addressing violence-related challenges.
In Marib Governorate, the safe space in Al-Mujamma area handed over economic empowerment grants to 24 beneficiaries of vocational rehabilitation in the fields of sewing, hairdressing, and pastry making to enable vulnerable families to obtain a continuous source of income and transform them into productive, self-reliant families.
In Al-Jufaina and Al-Matar areas, the Safe Space launched two training programs in life, financial, and marketing skills for 44 beneficiaries of the Livelihoods Program to equip them with basic life, marketing, and financial skills and prepare them to enter the labor market and open their own businesses.
