Statement by the Government of Guyana on the High-Level Pledging Event for the Humanitarian Crisis in Yemen

Guyana congratulates the Governments of Sweden and Switzerland and the United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres for organizing this pledging event which seeks to raise awareness to the continuing humanitarian crisis in Yemen.

The Government of Guyana remains deeply concerned by the ongoing plight of the Yemeni people. We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in this important event and to express in a tangible way the solidarity of the Guyanese people. In this respect, the Government of Guyana wishes to pledge the amount of USD$50,000.00 towards the humanitarian efforts to alleviate the situation in Yemen.
