Highlights of this edition include:

  • Alert on a triple crisis: Escalating food insecurity, rising malnutrition, and recurrent cholera/AWD outbreaks are severely impacting vulnerable populations. SI, in consortium with partners, is scaling up an integrated WASH, Health and Nutrition response to address these interlinked risks.
  • Sanitation and health risks in Ta’izz: SI interventions supported by YHF focus on improving access to safe water and sanitation, reducing exposure to waterborne diseases through emergency water supply, rehabilitation of WASH infrastructure, and hygiene promotion.
  • Restoring reliable access to water: In IDP and host communities, SI rehabilitated and expanded water supply systems, providing safe, chlorinated water to thousands while reducing protection risks for women and children.
  • Rebuilding livelihoods and resilience: Through EU- and CDCS-funded projects, SI is strengthening food security and livelihoods by supporting animal health services, vocational training, climate-smart agriculture, and access to agricultural land—particularly for IDPs and women.
  • An impactful collaboration: Community testimonies highlight how sustainable water resource management and local Water Management Committees are improving living conditions and restoring hope.
