As part of the Provision of Health and Nutrition Life Saving Assistance to Vulnerable Communities in Dhamar City project, supported by the Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF) and implemented by Building Foundation for Development (BFD), integrated health and nutrition services at 22-May Health Unit continue to demonstrate tangible life-saving impact on the most vulnerable households.
Saleh Khaled, a 12-month-old child from Harat Roma, was admitted after suffering from prolonged diarrhea and fever that escalated into severe acute malnutrition (SAM) with nutritional edema with MUAC Measurement 11.3 cm. His family lives under extremely vulnerable conditions, with limited income and a high dependency ratio, which delayed early access to appropriate healthcare and increased the severity of his condition.
