The humanitarian community launched the 2016 Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan (YHRP) in Geneva on 19 February 2016. The YHRP is requesting US$1.8 billion to provide critical and life-saving assistance for 13.6 million people affected by the escalated conflict in Yemen. The plan brings together over 100 aid organizations to respond an ongoing humanitarian catastrophe where 21.2 million people – four out of five Yemenis – are in need of humanitarian assistance.
Following the Geneva launch, the Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, Jamie McGoldrick, will present the YHRP to stakeholders and partners in Amman, including the press.
