As a response to a request from the Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Camps (ExU) in Marib Governorate, and after discussing this request among the HUMAN ACCESS team members in Marib, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) added a data page document to the acceptable documentation to qualify for UNHCR's assistance and cash transfers provided through its HUMAN ACCESS partner via Al-Amal and Al-Kuraimi banks.
This facilitation came as a special case for Marib, following a meeting that included the ExU in the governorate, UNHCR office, and its partners, HUMAN ACCESS, and Al-Amal and Al-Kuraimi banks.
This procedure will be effective starting from the next batch and is meant to solve the recurring problems of those who have lost their original documents and meet the eligibility criteria for cash assistance.
In a meeting held at the ExU headquarters, it was agreed that HUMAN ACCESS would inform those who lost their documents and were unable to obtain replacements for them to apply to the Community Center for IDPs to amend the type of identity document to the data page.
During the meeting, the ExU Assistant Director General in Marib, Dr. Khaled Al-Shijni, thanked UNHCR, HUMAN ACCESS and the money transfer banks for the efforts and facilities they made to serve the conflict-affected families, particularly the displaced as the most vulnerable and needy group.
