SANAA, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti army cargo plane carrying aid relief is due to arrive Thursday morning at Sayon airport in Hadramout region which was the scene of floods that damaged properties, and caused the death and missing of several people.
Kuwaiti Ambassador in Sana'a Salem Al-Zamanan told KUNA Tuesday that the cargo consisted basic needs for victims of the floods caused by heavy rainfall.
The Kuwaiti embassy expressed its deep condolences to the Yemeni leadership and people.
Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) also sent four trucks filled with relief aid to its Yemeni counterpart.
Yemeni Ministry of Health yesterday, some 180 lives have been lost and an estimated 2,000 homes destroyed, but these figures cannot be confirmed as several areas remain inaccessible. (end)
