Recent conflict increased the number of displaced people in Amran Governorate to an estimated 60-70,000 people and has increased the need for rehabilitation of water, school and health infrastructure.

The majority of people displaced due to recent conflict, have returned to their homes in Al Dhale’e, but continue to face limited livelihoods opportunities and reported threats of explosive remnants of war (ERWs).

The ERF funded 14 projects worth an estimated US$ 4.2 million and leveraged US$1.2 million in contribution from implementing partners.

By March 2014, the Fund had received contributions amounting to $ 6,669,881 from Denmark, United Kingdom/DFID and the Republic of Korea.
