Seyaj Organization for Childhood Protection expresses its deep concern about more than 5000 children and their families who are subject to killing and direct target of their existence in the fighting areas of Damaj of Saada governorate and Arhab district of Sana'a governorate.
Seyaj also calls for urgent humanitarian actions to rescue thousands of Yemenis in these areas. It further denounces all forms of violent acts against civilians and affirms that it receives initial field information which point out that approximately 3000 civilians are still trapped in the fighting areas located between Houthi group and Dar al-Hadith religious school in Dammaj, Saada.
Additionally, 1450 families, mostly children, have fled to caves, from armed confrontations between government forces and tribal armed groups in Arhab district of Sana'a governorate.
Seyaj Organization for Child Protection calls all concerned international organizations and civil society organizations to shoulder their responsibilities toward the end of fighting and provide the conflict victims with food, medical conveys, tents, drinking water to the victims, mostly children and women, who are subject to death and suffer from the lack of food and medicines.
Seyaj further calls on all fighting sides to end the battles, open safe and secure roads and allow relief conveys and humanitarian assistance access to the affected people of fighting areas.
