The Fourth Review Conference on the UN Programme of Action on Small Arms and Light Weapons (RevCon4) emphasized the importance of inclusive approaches in advancing the UNPoA. This IANSA Factsheet focuses on the significant advancements and inclusive language on youth, adolescents and children in the RevCon4 outcome documents in contrast to the Third Review Conference on the UNPoA (RevCon3) in 2018. It outlines actionable steps for governments and civil society to ensure youth are meaningfully included in SALW control policies and initiatives, fostering innovative solutions and lasting peace, as well as keeping them protected from SALW violence.
