This report provides insights into the profiles, experiences, needs, routes travelled and intentions of migrants transiting through the Western Balkans. IOM surveyed 819 migrants. from 1 to 30 April 2025 in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. In April no migrants were interviewed in Kosovo.
References to Kosovo shall be understood in the context of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 (1999).
