In today’s digital world, new data is being generated by just about everything we do – calling a friend, making a purchase, using the internet to access information – they all leave a digital trail.
UN Global Pulse is an innovative initiative of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon that seeks to analyze such data to get a better understanding of changes in human well-being.
Zazie Schafer, Deputy Director of UN Global Pulse, says this information can be used to make development more “agile”.
