Survey on law and disaster response
The survey is intended to update global understanding of the frequency and impact of regulatory barriers and gaps in international disaster response operations and also to develop new information as to certain key legal issues related to domestic response.
It is jointly sponsored and promoted by the IFRC, United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Bank, World Customs Organization (WCO), World Food Programme (WFP) and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
This survey is aimed at gathering information about the experience and views of individuals with experience of international and domestic disaster response. It will be particularly targeting persons with the following profiles:
Governmental employees from relevant ministries and departments
Employees and volunteers of National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies
Employees or volunteers of local NGOs
Employees of private companies
Employees of international NGOs
Employees of international and regional organizations
Participants must respond as individuals rather than as representatives of their institutions. It will take no more than 15 minutes to complete and will not require participants to undertake any independent research.
