Our partnership
Qatar has supported the Global Fund since 2016. To date, Qatar has pledged US$110 million to the Global Fund, including US$50 million for the Global Fund’s Seventh Replenishment in 2022. Qatar is also a member of a Global Fund Board constituency.
The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) leads Qatar’s partnership with the Global Fund and represents the country on the Global Fund Board. The Global Fund also collaborates with other Qatari entities, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Health and the Qatar Red Crescent Society. In 2023, the Qatar Foundation’s World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) launched Friends of the Global Fund Qatar, an advocacy initiative to promote the Global Fund’s mission in Qatar, the region and beyond.
