For this report, ACT interviewed 55 employers involved in international and peace and conflict resolution work, from leading non-profit organizations, US government agencies, international organizations, foundations and universities. The report focuses on what skills and type of experience individuals need to develop a successful career in the field. In addition, a resource section for job seekers is included.
This project is part of ACT's ongoing efforts to increase public knowledge and understanding of the field of conflict resolution and in particular provide information and resources regarding career and educational opportunities in the field. Dr. Craig Zelizer, Senior Partner, ACT, and Dr. Linda Johnston, Director, Conflict Management Program at Kennesaw State University co-led the project. The research was supported by a grant from the Alliance for International Conflict Prevention and Resolution (http://www.aicpr.org)
The report is now available for free download on the ACT website.
