A Rescue Guide jointly developed by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Maritime Organization and the International Chamber of Shipping, providing guidance on relevant legal provisions and practical procedures to ensure the prompt disembarkation of persons rescued at sea and to meet their specific needs, with a particular focus on refugees and migrants. The present guide builds on an earlier version published in 2015.
