Since 2022, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) has been implementing the Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) to monitor migratory flows at key transit points across Central America and Mexico. This tool enables the generation of real-time evidence on the profiles, routes, and needs of people on the move.
The report summarizes the most relevant findings, complementing the dashboard on Migrants in transit through the Americas.
Between May and September 2025, a total of 8,213 were conducted, representing 16,744 migrants in transit across 38 flow monitoring points (FMP) located in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, and Mexico.
