Welcome to the 16 December 2020 online session of the Regional Consultative Group (RCG) on Humanitarian Civil Military Coordination for Asia and the Pacific. Following discussions at the RCG Mid-Term Consultation on 02 July 2020, and in collaboration with RCG Chair, the Government of Nepal, and the co-secretariat – the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs for Asia and the Pacific (OCHA ROAP), the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (CFE-DMHA) and the Australian Civil-Military Centre (ACMC) – the RCG will conduct a 3.5 hour online session from 1230-1600 (BKK time, GHT +7). This session will cover updates from Papua New Guinea and the RCG priority countries (Nepal, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar and the Philippines), followed by a panel discussion on civil-military coordination in disaster response during pandemics. These topics were prioritized in the Mid-Term Consultation.
