PSEACap Q1 Deployment Overview (as of 31 Mar 2025)

Attachments

PSEACap remained a vital mechanism for deploying qualified experts to high SEA-risk contexts, identified through the IASC SEA Risk Overview. Reporting directly to the Humanitarian Coordinator, PSEACaps supported country leadership in addressing SEA (Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), significantly strengthening the coordination of Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) where this was needed most. In the context of the humanitarian funding crisis, PSEACap Coordinators demonstrated the critical importance of in-country PSEA structures as an efficient and cost-effective way to address SEA. They implemented joined-up risk assessments, awareness raising, complaints mechanisms, and capacity building, rationalizing the use of scarce resources and ensuring the most effective survivor-centred approach.
