Polio
- There has been one polio death in the current outbreak in Papua New Guinea in a 9 year old child. The fatality was in a child from Enga Province and is the first since the start of the outbreak in June this year. There have been 14 confirmed cases in six provinces. Typhoid fever
- Fiji has reported cases of Typhoid in the Naitasiri (in three villages and one settlement) and Navosa (Naveyago village) provinces. There were 5 cases (4 confirmed, 1 suspected) from Naveyago village from 5 September to 12 September 2018 and 21 cases (14 confirmed and 7 suspected) from the Naitasiri villages from 1 August to 20 September.
