This report examines the role
of women in peace building, highlighting challenges and providing concrete
examples of how the international community in general can support women's
efforts and peacebuilding processes.
The report is a summary of
panel presentations and discussions offered during a conference on the
role of women in peacebuilding, held in Washington in September 2002 and
jointly organised by Women Waging Peace and the Woodrow
Wilson International Center for Scholars.
