MENA Community Protection Network- Capacity Development Series 2024 report [EN/AR/FR]

The MENA Community Protection Network is dedicated to enhancing localized protection efforts across the MENA region. The UNHCR MENA Regional Bureau organized and facilitated MENA Community Protection Network - Capacity Development Series 2024 to equip Network members with protection knowledge and skills and support coordination among community and grassroots organizations across the MENA Region. The Series covered key protection policy guidance and principles in responses to forcibly displaced and stateless people.

HOW LEARNING NEEDS WERE IDENTIFIED

Learning needs were identified during the MENA Community Protection Network meeting on 21 March 2024, titled “Strengthening Collaboration for Localized Protection across the MENA Region.” During the group work activity to explore priorities and next steps, participants discussed and provided recommendations for the 2024 MENA Community Protection Work plan, including capacity development activities. A training plan was developed and agreed during the meeting. A vote through poll was carried out to ensure and document endorsement of members.

o 19 out of 20 respondents endorsed the proposed Capacity Development Training Plan 2024.
