Flooding persists in parts of West Africa while the Horn remains abnormally dry

1 . After several months of below average rainfall abnormal dryness has deteriorated to drought in southern Ethiopia

2 . Ongoing above-average rainfall has triggered flooding in parts of Cameroon, Chad, and the Central African Republic.

3 . Heavy rainfall has triggered flooding across the Nile river basin in Sudan and the Sudd Wetland areas of South Sudan.

4 . Heavy rainfall has intesified flooding along the Senegal River. Flooding persists in parts of Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Togo

5 . Singificantly below-average rainfall over the past three months has led to abnormal dryness in parts of Nigeria.

6 . Poor rainfall has maintained abnormal dryness in parts of Kenya and Somalia.
