Eastern Tanzania remains abnormally dry due to below-average rainfall since last November.

Abnormal dryness persists in southeastern Angola, northeastern Namibia, northern and western parts of Botswana, much of Zimbabwe, and western Mozambique. Northern Madagascar has shown significant dryness in recent months.
