Overview

Migrants, refugees and other displaced populations are often excluded from research and evidence generation and from public health interventions and policies. This exclusion jeopardizes the attainment of global health targets and the right to health for all. As emphasized by the Global research agenda on health migration and displacement, there is an urgent need for a significant increase in the quality and quantity of research on the health of migrants, refugees and displaced populations. In particular, action-oriented research is needed that can be translated into effective policies and practices. The Global research agenda on health migration and displacement funding dashboard was developed by WHO with the aim to capture the baseline snapshot of grants for research on health, migration and displacement from nine of the major global health research funders for the years 2016–2020
