Attachments

The Field Support Team (FST) is one of the mechanisms of the Global WASH Cluster designed to provide operational support to National Coordination Platforms in areas such as Cluster Coordination, Information Management, Assessments, Capacity Building, Strategy, Preparedness and Transition. The current FST Consortium, led by Action contre la Faim France (ACF), is composed of iMMAP Inc., IMPACT Initiatives, and OXFAM. The FST delivers support through surge deployments, remote support, and global support to National Coordination Platforms.

This report outlines the achievements of the Field Support Team for the year 2024. Over the course of the year, the FST carried out 16 deployments, contributing to critical interventions around the world: from supporting the Mpox outbreak response in the Central African Republic (CAR) and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), to six months of support for the cholera response in Myanmar, and strengthening coordination capacities in Afghanistan, among others.

The FST notably played a key role in the response to the crisis in Gaza, with five dedicated deployments totalling over 400 days of direct support.

In addition, it also provided remote support to 26 countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, CAR, Chad, DRC, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iraq, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar, Niger, oPt, Panama, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Ukraine, Venezuela and Yemen.
