The Global Fund has published a new resource for countries as they prepare their funding requests for the 2020-2022 period: national health and development indicator data.
Also known as “Essential Data Tables,” these data contain recent figures on HIV, tuberculosis, malaria and resilient and sustainable systems for health for every Global Fund-supported country.
These data are intended to:
- Lower the amount of work involved in development of the funding request by compiling data for analysis in one place;
- Assist countries in the analysis of their epidemiological context;
- Encourage cross-cutting collaboration between disease programs and the broader health system.
Country Teams will include the data in the funding request packages sent directly to Country Coordinating Mechanisms. See Funding Request Applications for more information.
The data are also available through the Global Fund Data Service. Find “National Health and Development Indicators” on the “Data Set” tab in the “Downloads” section. The data can be exported in Excel and CSV formats and will be periodically updated.
