1. What is DATA?
DATA, short for "Dashboard for Aid Transparency and Accountability," is a user-friendly platform designed for NGOs in India, and donors from worldwide contributing funds in India. Its primary aim is to enhance the financial transparency of humanitarian funding in India and to track the funds reaching the grassroots organisations. It offers NGOs an opportunity to proactively demonstrate their accountability to the populations they serve. To promote transparency in the aid sector, DATA offers end-to-end information on humanitarian funding, encouraging greater participation, instilling donor confidence on recipient organisations, bringing visibility to active organisations, and enhancing coordination among donors and stakeholders.
