CERF underfunded emergencies: 2014 1st round (update), As of 1 May 2014, in US$ million

Attachments

In March and April 2014, the UN Emergency Relief Coordinator allocated US$95.6 million from the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) to sustain emergency aid operations in crises where humanitarian needs are high but financial support is low. The funding from CERF’s underfunded emergencies (UFE) window ensures that life-saving relief work continues in Chad, Colombia, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Djibouti, Haiti, Mali, Myanmar, Pakistan, Sudan, Uganda and Yemen. This is the first of two UFE rounds planned for 2014. CERF has allocated $1.16 billion in underfunded emergencies grants since the establishment of the fund in 2006.
