- The Central Provinces of Viet Nam are now recovering from the 3 disasters that have hit the region since the beginning of October. As of 25 October, the water has receded from the flooded provinces.
- Government reports as well as INGOs assessments indicate that the sectors most in need of support are shelter and livelihood, with a particular focus on the poorest and most vulnerable families that are not able to recover.
- UN DRMT, clusters leads and INGOs active in the affected provinces met on 24 October. The social mobilization of national support and the commitment of the Government to respond to relief needs have been recognized. No official activation of the clusters and inter-agency assessment are required at this stage.
- The agencies will however continue to coordinate their response activities and monitor the delivery of national and international support to the affected population.
