Heavy rainfall has been affecting central and southern Vietnam causing landslides and floods in Lam Dong Province (central Vietnam), Binh Thuan Province (south-eastern Vietnam) and Bac Lieu Province (southern Vietnam) that resulted in casualties and damage.

As of 31 July, media reports that three people died on 30 July in Bao Loc Pass nearby Da Lat City (north-eastern Dong Province) due to a landslide and one is still missing. In addition, one person died in Binh Thuan Province due to floods and one in Mekong Delta due to severe weather-related incident.

Over the next 24 hours, more rainfall is forecast over most of the country with locally heavy rainfall in western Vietnam.
