On 12-13 July, a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall occurred in Ta Mo village, Bac Me district, Ha Giang province, northern Vietnam, and resulted in casualties and damage.
The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) reports, as of 13 July, 11 fatalities, four injured people and 46 damaged houses others affected by the event.
After the event, local authorities mobilized functional forces in the rescue and emergency activities.
Moreover, a tropical depression named THREE is moving towards central Vietnam and is forecast to make landfall over the eastern coast of Than Thien Hue province on 15 July late morning.
For the next 24 hours moderate to locally heavy rainfall is forecast across most of Vietnam, including affected areas and also central Vietnam.
