Heavy rain has been affecting northern Vietnam over the past few days, causing floods and landslides.

According to local media, as of 10 July at 7:30 (UTC), at least nine people have been killed in the Northeastern Region, Dong Bac and Bac Trung Bo Regions. Several landslides hit the province of Lào Cai (Dong Bac region) causing damages to roads and buildings.

Over the next 24 h, heavy rain is expected to continue to affect the whole country, especially the northern areas.
