Since 10 October, heavy rain and floods have affected cenral-northern Vietnam resulting in casualties and damage.

According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), as of 14 October, in Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Nam Provinces in central Vietnam, two people died, 7,820 people have been affected and 3,910 have been internally displaced, of whom 3,763 from Da Nang City and 147 from Hue City. In addition, 1,564 houses have been damaged, of which 1,432 in Da Nang City.

For the next 48 hours, heavy rainfall and thunderstorm are forecast across the affected area.
