Viet Nam: Relief comes to flood-prone people

Seeing flooding images on media, members of the HCMC Sponsor Society for Poor Patients quickly contacted with local pagodas to carry thousands of cooked rice portions from HCMC to heavily flood-hit localities of Phu Yen province.

After this move, the members will help local people to clean up and rebuild houses.

In terms of Binh Duong delegation, Becamex IDC Corp in cooperation with the local Fatherland Front Committee and local Relief Committee held gift visits to the flood-prone central provinces. Girls of the delegation positively helped flood-hit areas' people clean up houses, despite baking sun days in the central region.

Ngo Thanh Hoa and his wife prepared to rebuild their house with 2 remaining tole sheets after the flood. Meanwhile, O Loan village's residents collected remaining objects after the flood to restart their houses.

Compared with Phu Yen province, Binh Dinh province's the number of injured and dead people was in low level. However, members of the sponsor delegations were moved to see numerous people of flood-stricken localities waiting for relief goods.

Only 2 days in the central region, Becamex IDC Corp. handed 3,000 gifts over people across 6 communes of Phu Yen province's Tuy An district and 2 townships of Dieu Tri and Tuy Phuoc in Binh Dinh province. The local relief committee also presented VND340mil to residents of flood-stricken localities.
