Heavy rainfall continue to affect central Viet Nam, with Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces as the most affected, causing flooding and landslides that resulted in casualties and damage.
According to the media, as of 21 November, at least 41 people died in six provinces, including 16 in Dak Lak and 14 in Khanh Hoa. Nine people are missing, approximately 70,000 have been evacuated, and more than 600,000 people are affected by power outages. In addition, 68,000 houses have been affected by flooding, and 140 landslides have been reported.
Following the passage of topical cyclones Fengshen and Kalmaegi, Viet Nam activated the Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM) on 13 November requesting shelter, hygiene, non-food items and health and rescue equipment. Luxembourg and Germany offered shelter and hygiene items.
On 30 October, Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EMS) was activated (EMSR848) and 78 maps have been produced so far.
On 21-22 November, heavy rainfall is expected over central and southern Viet Nam.
