An Giang, Feb. 17 (VNA) - The Humanitarian Aid Office of the European Commission (ECHO) has granted 60,200 euros to a project to help control floods in the Mekong delta.
Under the project, people in flood-prone areas will be provided with information and facilities to be prepared in the event of the natural disaster.
At the moment, Thomas Tiedemann and Chitise Nugoohi, who are representatives from Care, a German Non-Government Organisation, are on a fact-finding tour of Mekong delta An Giang province to help the local people stabilise their lives during flood season.
