27 August, 2002 11:50 - During the last 48 hours, water levels at stations from Chiang Saen to Kompong Cham receeded; from Phnom Penh down to the Delta in Vietnam continued slighly to increase. The water level at Chau Doc, Tan Chau is higher than flood stage; at Nong Khai, Paksane, Stung Treng, Pakse, Kompong Cham, NeakLuong, Koh Khel is higher than the alarm stage. In coming days, the water levels from Chiang Saen to Kompong Cham continue to receede, from Phnom Penh to Tan Chau, Chau Doc slowly fluctuate; at Tan Chau, Chau Doc are 0.35 - 0.5m higher than flood stages.
